Then on Saturday morning, I woke up early to prepare for a five hour workshop covering all 6 techniques using the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. This time I had an official photographer and a workshop buddy, Anne Skougard of House of Anne. What a help she was, and I was so grateful when she sent me pictures! Thanks again Anne!
I had a great group! They couldn't believe the things they created! They were very impressed by the paint, and especially the difference the wax made. I think they all left with a new found confidence in their abilities!
Here I am experimenting with a large syringe to distribute the paint. Ummm..I don't mean to toot my own horn, but "toot toot". Am I a genius or what?! No dripping, and you can control the dose. It's also perfect for measuring paint "recipes". Now you can get perfect measurements when you want to duplicate a custom color! I think I will have these for sale on my website from now on!
Here's a close up of the newfangled syringe technique!
All in all, it was a great two days. We now have some new painters out there in the world. Congrats ladies!
Now, anybody want to help me clean up?
